The more stuff you cramp on to each other the more erratic it becomes. ROG is trying to stuff so many features in motherboards, software or in everything basically that it makes it erratic. The problem with Asus ROG is that they charge big money for something subpar or on par with other manufacturers with lower prices. They have nothing to do with ROG only moderating the forum.

Ye, its not the moderators fault tho and i said this to him also. but as soon as I open Aura Sync or Armory Crate, I need to reboot before the lights are controllable again. What's really funny is that as long as I don't actually open the GUI for AC or Aura Sync, I can cycle through the various settings using the hotkeys, turn the backlight on and off and so on. We did eventually get a proper fix, although frankly it took Asus far longer than it should have, and the first version of the fix didn't work on Windows 11 (which considering Asus were pushing the "upgrade" hard at the time was farcical) but all considered they at least sorted it out - and faster than many multinational corporations would have done (I'm thinking of several in particular, although it's been years since I used them so maybe they've improved.) We were polite to the Asus ROG guy, but still were quite grumpy about it and none of us got banned.

A few users eventually pinned it down to problematic power transitions when the 6800M GPU went to sleep. Well, on that front my experience differs: I have the AMD Advantage Edition G513QY which had a really nasty problem which meant the laptop would randomly reboot.
